The game of high school football is a great way for young adults to learn sportsmanship and teamwork. The high school football referee is an integral manager of this growth on the field. Besides the rewarding influence on young adults, it is a great way to stay in shape and make money while doing so.

If you are a female and thought this was just a man’s game; then you are mistaken. More female officials hit the field at the NCAA and NFL level than ever before.  When asked "Will there be women officiating in the NFL? NFL's director of officiating David Coleman replied “Yes, there will be, because we're committed to having the best officials," Coleman said. "We're committed to having excellence in officiating at all levels. We're looking for the best officials. When we have women, just like when we have men who are in that group, they will go in that (development) program.…To get to the NFL as an official, you have to be in that group," he said. "That's our talent pool to come on the field when vacancies exist… "

GOAA is a well-respected football officiating association that has ties to the SEC, ACC, So Conference, SIAC and many other NCAA conferences as well as the NFL.
