The 2018 MetroPCS Corky Kell Classic marks the third year of the event’s three-day, nine-game lineup. Barron Stadium in Rome will play host to its first-ever Corky Kell games, replacing Mercer University, which hosted contests the past two seasons. Two games on Thursday, Aug. 16 will take place at Barron Stadium. Georgia State Stadium will play host again to a pair of games on Friday, Aug. 17 while the Saturday games will be held for the first time at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
First-time participants have been added as well. Ridgeland (Rossville, Ga.) and Mays, the first Atlanta Public Schools team to play, have been added to the field. Northeast Georgia area schools Buford, North Gwinnett, and Mill Creek will once again take part in the annual high school event.
